10K

After what seemed like very little time to me, I am happy to announce that I had my 10,000th. visitor to my blog today!

From what I can deduce from the stats counter, lucky 10K was a visit from Rockford, Illinois at 6:34 PM Central Time on March 3rd.

Its been a fun few months of blogging about what the unit has been up to, and my own personal views (much to the dismay of my chain of command at times). I never would have expected as many hits on the site as I've had, much less to have gained followers and subscribers.

In the future I am hoping to write more about the various missions soldiers in the 1133rd. perform other than the truck drivers. With luck I will also be able to post an article about some of the civilian drivers we interact with over here. I apologize for not always having updates/news of what each of the platoons are up to, but my mission does come first and I also have extra duties within my squad that keep me from posting as often as I'd like...and internet access on the road isn't all that great at times.

Speaking of the road, approval-pending one of my next posts will be about what our drivers do on the road. It will be an experimental post, tying-in with a written article for the media back home as well as a video report for any of the interested Iowa TV stations (wondering if KIMT will be one of them?).

Until then, thank you everyone for reading this blog as much as you have, being interested in what your soldiers are up to while we are deployed, and especially to Public Affairs here at Camp Arifjan for being very supportive, encouraging, and not holding that whole CENTCOM incident against me. ;)

Be safe!
