Q&A

I admit that today I'm going to be lazy and rather than writing what I think people might like to know, I am instead going to ask this:

What would you, the reader, like to know about as far as the daily activities/life of a soldier goes?

Email or leave your questions as a comment and I will answer them all in an entry next week.

For those wondering, the photo is of my grandfather driving his company commander in a Willy's Scout Car (later known as a Jeep MB) somewhere in Europe according to the writing on back of the original. Guess my love of HMMWVs is genetic after all.

I will be following your blog with interest (I already caught up on the past entries) as Chad and Josh Holt are my 2nd cousins (my Aunt pointed me to this site so I hope I have the correct unit).

You've done a fine job covering your thoughts and activities. When you get to your destination, feel free to describe the sites, smells, history and interaction with the locals. If members of your unit are willing to be interviewed then that would help color your world, too.

Thanks for serving.

Hey Trent
I agree with the others in that you are doing a fine job! I also would like for you to give us a look through your eyes, tell us what you go through each day and what your feeling...almost as if we were there with you. Take care!

It would be nice if you can talk with other soldiers and get their input and what goes on with the different platoons. I have family in the 1133rd and would be nice to hear about the other platoons too, maybe then I'd get an idea of what they're doing too. More pictures too!
Keep up the good work and Thanks so much for all you've been doing!

Wonderful job describing the life of a soldier! I would love to hear stories or thoughts from some of your troop members (and I supposed putting thoughts into words may even help them out).

Good Luck, God Bless, and God Speed!

Say Hi to my "baby" brother Sgt. Benjamin Sonksen, won't you? I'm his older and only sis.
