I'm not sure how some of these guys get away with publishing some of the things they do and I get talked to for wanting to mention every day non-security-risking details of life on the road, but I have yet to find a better sampling of milblogs than those at The Sandbox.
I first discovered the site almost two years ago when Doonesbury gave it some self-promotion in a Sunday comic strip. I have to say it is one of the best ways I've had of keeping an eye on areas over here in the absence of deployed friends. I have had the privelidge of corresponding with a few of the contributors, one who lived at one of my old homes over here, another who I missed getting to meet in person by only three days.
Its my hope that once I get home I can publish some of my entries that fall into the style found on The Sandbox, because at the moment I have been told I can't release them and its driving me crazy.
Before I forget, here's the link: http://gocomics.typepad.com/the_sandbox/
Everyone be safe, please.
